the Tapestry Reserve

HomeWelcome to the ReserveOct 24, 2006
Well, it has been an amazing journey to this place we call the Tapestry Reserve. It all started a few years ago when Dustin Hedrick began to talk about a place where young people could escape the regular world and get back to nature and GOD. He had heard about, read about and even became friends with a person who owned a prayer mountain and began to pray about the possibility of GOD allowing him to do the same thing.

In 2001 Dustin was offered 100 acres of land as a gift in GA that he turned down because it didn't feel like GOD's heart for the ministry.

At the end of 2006 and beginning of 2007 Lori and Dustin began to look for a proeprty in PA, WV & VA. Every place they looked at just didn't feel right or wasn't going to work out financially.

Finally in the summer of 2006, they were going to West Virginia to look at land that turned out to be really rough and the realtor told them about a tract of land that had been forgotten for almost 40 years! The land was donated to the county after a man passed away and the county forgot that it owned it. The land was listed at 28+ acres and they said there was most likely 32 acres there. After much prayer, a few trips and another blog post full of issues and problems, the land was acquired.

After almost ten years, the original prayer is a reality! The Reserve now exists for a place for people to get away and meet with GOD in the middle of nature.

Just yesterday, the greatest surprise came after the final title work was done. The land was much more than 28 acres. It turned out to be 50 acres of land.

Now, we are praying as we look to place the land into trust.

Thank you for all your prayer and support! GOD bless you!
